Does anyone else out there get an outfit that they really love and then just wear it pretty much everyday? I do. And I'm on the hunt for the perfect spring/summer daily uniform. This look is definitely in the running.

This week my sister called and asked me how I would style a few different items she has in her closet. I thought about it for a while and thought it would be fun to do a blog post about three different looks for a busy mom. Above is the first look, the "run around with your kids all day and still feel good about how you look" look. I also put together a "date night with your man" look and a "special event" look. I tried to pair staple pieces that cost more money (like pants, shoes and a blazer) with more inexpensive pieces from places like Target and Forever21. 

P.S. I think this is the third time I have featured this same bag on my blog. I'm probably just going to have to buy it later today and get it out of my system!

While shopping this weekend I saw these pants in just about every store. I thought it would be fun to compare prices. You can also find them at Anthropologie, J.crew and Target. Most expensive - Anthro. Least expensive - Forever 21. My favorite - Madewell. I just love that flare!

Been on the biggest shopping binge ever. I think having a new baby is so out of control that I just need to feel in control of something - that being my wardrobe and my wallet. There's some of my psych background coming out for ya! The problem is I am totally not in control of my wallet either. Good thing I am good at getting the look I want for a lot less. Right?

I have seriously loved putting these together. I love shopping but just don't have all of the money in the world so it is fun for me to find styles that I like and see how I can put it together using what I already have on hand plus maybe a little something new that doesn't break the bank. Also, isn't that braid in the top photo to die for? Wish my hair could do that!
