June 30, 2012 Happiest Place On Earth
We took a little trip to Disneyland this week. My parents drove down from Washington State with my sister and her two kids. Husbands were not invited - hers just started his internal medicine residency in Portland and mine is on a 10 day business trip in Ohio (I am counting down the minutes till he gets his hot bod back here). D-land was everything I remembered it being - crowded, hot and oh so exhausting but, there is just something so satisfying about experiencing the magic through our little one's eyes. My niece and nephew were going buck wild over Princesses, Cars Land, rides and treats! They were not big fans of Pirates of The Caribbean - there was a lot of crying and eye-covering happening on that ride. Henry handled his first trip to Disneyland like a champ. He did a lot of people watching and figured out all of the best nursing positions on each ride. "Oh hey mom, we are about to get on a tiny boat that goes into a dark tunnel, I guess it's time for a snack?" Yeah, he can eat just about anywhere and sleep just about anywhere too. Good baby!
